Equality and Harassment

Hello everyone!

We are this year’s Equality and Harassment Officers. We are here for all of you, aiming to support, help, and bring forward matters related to equality and harassment to the best of our ability.

Our names are Emma Johansson and Emil Kujala. Both of us serve on the SSHV board for 2026, holding the positions of Social Affairs Officer and Communications Officer, respectively. Emma is currently in her second year of a bachelor’s degree, majoring in Management and Organization. Emil is also in his second year, majoring in Marketing.

The Student Union (SHS) slogan is “Finland’s most fun student union,” and we are here to ensure that everyone can feel that this is true within SSHV as well. No one should feel mistreated or offended in any way. All our members are equally important and valuable and should be treated as such. We strive to be a student association where everyone feels welcome and respected.

If anyone feels exposed or mistreated in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us. We want to emphasize that nothing is “too small” to bring up. The easiest way to reach us is via email at trakasseri@sshv.fi. You can contact this address if you or someone you know experiences harassment or inappropriate treatment. Please remember that everything you share with us is confidential. This means that your case will not be shared with anyone else, including other members of the board.

You are also always welcome to speak with either one of us, or both, in person if that feels better or more urgent. You can usually find us in the boardroom next to the reading room.
